Dr. Samantha LaMartine

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

It All Starts With Understanding!

I know that seeking help for your mental health can feel overwhelming, and I am here to support you every step of the way. My mission goes beyond diagnosis; I strive to understand how these challenges affect your daily life and overall well-being.

I work primarily with adults navigating the demands of daily living, balancing work and life, and managing personal development. Whether you're dealing with relationship stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions, I provide personalized care tailored to your unique experiences, ensuring that you feel truly understood and supported. While I have years of experience working with people from various socio-cultural backgrounds, I especially enjoy working with Black/African American individuals and communities. In particular, I love walking alongside Black women as they discover their strengths along the way to hope and healing from truths previously unspoken.

My goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment to facilitate personal growth and healing. I recognize that systemic racism and other forms of oppression can have disproportional impacts on the mental health of Black clients, and I am committed to providing culturally responsive care that takes these experiences into account. I trust that people are the experts of their own lives and have ideas around what is best for them. As a psychologist, my role is to help clients reconnect with the self, develop trust of self, and explore how they can use their values to guide their steps. I incorporate a client-centered and strength-based approach, while collaboratively tailoring my therapy styles to what best suits each client. As such, I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and motivational interviewing to enhance the level of motivation for personal growth. Given appropriate tools, the right setting, and therapeutic fit, behavioral changes are possible.

A little more about me:  I was born on the beautiful island of Ayiti (aka Haiti), immigrated to the U.S. around age 5, and was raised in Lake Worth, Florida. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Florida and both my master's and doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of La Verne. When I’m not working or spending time my husbae and our adorable fur-son, Chi Mali, I like to be in fellowship with my family and friends. Like Cardi B, “I like boarding jets” but I settle for commercial (ha). Thank you for considering me to be a part of your journey towards healing and self-discovery.
